 Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company

it's party time with Australian Pistachios

The two largest growers of Pistachios in Australia wholly own the Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company (APPC). The people at APPC have pioneered the growing, production and marketing of Australian Pistachios since the early 1980’s.

The company is committed to the long-term supply of Australian pistachios and has made a large investment in establishing the industry. The partners at APPC have actively pursued the best production practices from around the world and are confident of being able to supply an excellent product at a competitive price.

The company has recently completed the construction of a new $2,500,000 hulling and grading plant at Robinvale, Victoria. The plant, located in the heart of the Australian growing region, was commissioned to satisfy the quality and health standards now expected in the food industry.

APPC works in close cooperation with the Pistachio Growers Association Incorporated (PGAI). A body formed in 1985 to represent the growers of pistachio nuts in Australia with the objective to be involved in matters relevent to the production and promotion of pistachio nuts. The association is funded by the voluntary contributions of growers, like those that own APPC, and administers the application of these funds towards research into pistachio production in Australia. APPC has a member on the board of the PGAI and on the committee of the Australian Nut Industry Council.
